30 Day Notice In Merida!

Well guys, I gave my landlord 30-day notice! It is freeing but also daunting and now the real work begins. One of the many things I love about Merida is that you can break a lease without serious repercussions and credit issues. I did have to forfeit my deposit. *Please note: There’s usually a double deposit rendered during the lease agreement signing. The deposits are to be returned when you end your lease minus any damages and residual utility bills. Now, I have heard few say they did not receive their complete deposit returned however I don’t find that any different from the states when renting, varying in experiences of course. With that being said, even a double deposit is less than one months of rent where I come from! BUT check this out, some landlords will let you use one of your deposits for your last month of rent and that’s what happened to me.  T hat it wonderful, so no rent this for the month of March and vacate by the 1 st of April.
