How to Move to Merida in 5 Steps & Get Rid of Your "Stuff" PLUS Top 3 Places that Pay You to Live There!!

Hola!

This has been a busy couple of weeks! My mom celebrated her 76th birthday. I visited Belize, Mx which was beautiful, and I am finally gearing up to move. I am excited! You know the BUSES wear me out!

So in case you missed it... LAST WEEKS VIDEO was amazing and jammed packed with information on how to move to Merida, how to get rid of your stuff and the top three places that pay you to live there. So honestly whether you are moving to something or from something, there is a way to successfully travel or even move abroad.

You know I have mentioned that you do have to make some definitive decisions and a lot of them will be alone. You will have the gaslighters, condemners and the ones that just don't believe but it is YOU that makes the decision. You are the star of the show and the sun of your life. It's your turn!

Now let's get into some good stuff! We will recap the 5 Steps to move to Merida first! I told you; it may take some work however it will be worth all that your pour into yourself.

Now, take these steps and make an investment in you!

 Five Steps To Merida

1.    Mindset (set or reset your mind).
2.    Why? Evaluate your why’s for moving to Merida or abroad.
3.    Options. Weigh your options for your move and choose a place that fits your lifestyle.
4.  Letting Go of your old life. The willingness to give up your old life for a new one, knowing that you cannot have both.
5.    Commitment! Committing to 1-4 and to yourself to change for a better life. WHY? Because you are worthy

We talk about that mindset or setting your mind a LOT because it is there where the seed of desire is rooted, all you must do is water it and allow nature to take over. You however are the barrier of the water that provides the nourishment needed for growth.

Think about why you want to either run to something (ex: peace) or away from something (ex: violence) or both! For real, ya know it is a combination of things.

Weigh your options, visit places abroad and find a place that fits your vibe. People say Merida is too hot and that's valid however Mexico City isn't, they have seasons. So, weigh it out and remember amount doesn't mean weight

Come to the realization and acceptance that you cannot have your cake and eat it too.  There will be decisions and choices that will have to be made, knowing that is half the battle!

Commit to yourself for yourself and your offspring should you have any. Your decisions for change and a better life not only affect you it affects generations to come and not only yours... your friends see it, your enemies see, and people who aspire to make the changes see you. It's bigger than all of us!

Remember: This journey starts in your mind and ends in your heart.

How to get rid of your "stuff"!

I know its a LOT and can even be overwhelming at times. So, I'll say and this took a lot for me .... You know what, I want to pause and say that we have truly been conditioned to think that carrying a load or a lot is a reward of life and it's not! I have truly learned that the struggle doesn't have to be real. Life is does not need to be hard. Sorry lol, I digress, ask for help. Whether it is a supportive friend or hiring someone, ask for help when and where you need it.

Here are some places that can help you offload some heavy memories and plain ole' junk. I have learned that things are mostly emotional attachments to the memories or energy they carry. If you let go of the "thing" you will not lose the memory or energy and you also take back your power over material "possessions".

 - Shelters with drop-offs. I like this option because they give away items rather than sell them (tax donation).

 - Friends of the Library or your local Library that accepts donations (tax donation).

 - Thumbtack. Can provide furniture removal (at a cost) and removal of trash or recyclables.

 - Pawn Shop. Comes with a loss in some cases however a quick way to make a few dollars and get rid of your stuff.

 -  Goodwill/Salvation Army. Will pick up bulk items and furniture, schedule early (tax donation).

Bonus: Neighbor Sale vs. Yard Sale for those in apartments.

Extra Bonus: Rent or sublease your home furnished if that is an option and bring your necessities.

Let's talk about this BONUS and extra bonus. I had a neighbor sale and I know someone who rented their place as is and in so was able to leave the states quicker and also had a safety net in case she needed to return to the U.S. One friend went back and sold her home, she knew she was not going back.

I am telling you are more in control than you think. You have the power to make decisions that will change your life for the better. You ABSOLUTELY DO!

Speaking of radically changing your life.

  1. Hi Tia Nikki, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your five-step process. It's been incredibly helpful! Recently, I decided to declutter my bedroom and it felt so good. I ended up sending half of my clothes and shoes to ThredUp and this week I'm planning to donate the rest to a local homeless shelter. Thanks again for all your help! Gigi aka @14jojoba on youtube. :)
